What is printable design art?
Printable artworks come in a digital format which allows the purchaser access to the files in moments. This results in being both cost-effective and easy to manage, since there is no waiting for the physical item to be shipped, hence no shipping costs.
Nowadays, most homes have access to a basic printer and can have their print hung in minutes.
Remember this is a digital design print. We won’t be sending you a physical print or frame in the mail.
How do I access my files?
Doroteo on Etsy
- If you have purchased our design artwork on Etsy, you will receive an email once payment clears (this usually takes only a couple of minutes) with a download link. Please check your spam folder should you not receive the email.
- If you already have an account you can easily access your files by logging into Etsy and viewing your purchases under your profile in the dropdown menu. Make sure to be on a computer or laptop to download the files as they can’t be downloaded on a phone or tablet.
- Most of our prints contain several files, according to the design artwork you have purchased. Generally these include a zip file containing the design high quality (300 DPI) JPEGs and an easy instruction guide in PDF format. These can easily be opened on your computer by double-clicking the zip file.
- You can now print your files anywhere you wish. See options below.
Printable artwork sizes
In order to provide you with ease-of-use we have already prepared several of the most popular sizes so you can choose the perfect one for your frame.
All prints are produced in high-resolution 300dpi and will print at high quality whichever solution you decide to use, at home or using a professional printer online or nearby.
This also means that our artworks can be adapted to basically any dimension other than the sizes listed below. To do this, you must know how to manipulate images using imaging software, or else ask your local print shop to adapt it for you.
However, please check the item’s description before purchase to ensure that your desired size is included.

Nomenclature:
The files included in the zip file generally follow the file-size attribution, so that you can easily retrieve the one that best suits your needs.

We endeavour to provide you with all latest printing standards in one sole purchase. This is to make sure that our customers have all that they need in one go.
Custom readjustments are for premium members and clients only. Message us and we will let you know if the artwork can be resized to your dimensions – charges apply.
How and where can I print my files?
Once you’ve chosen the right size for your final artwork, you can print your files anywhere you wish. Options include both at home or by a professional printer online or nearby.
1. Using your home or office printer.
2. Visiting your local print shop or photo lab.
3. Uploading the artwork to an online print-on-demand service.
Printing at home
When using your own or office printer, ensure that you are using the “fit to page” settings or alternatively fit to 100% sizing. This is to ensure that the image covers the entire page.
Every printer uses its own aspects, but for best results please ensure that you disable any colour management settings to allow for the artwork’s colours to be assigned automatically.
Should I print in RGB or CMYK?
Simply put, CMYK is the color mode intended for printing with ink, such as business card designs, posters, billboards, etc. RGB is the color mode intended for screen and digital displays.
We produce our design directly in CMYK format, so that you are ready-to-go without having to convert anything, whether you decide to print at home or using a print service.
Please beware that the artwork’s colours you see on your screen may slightly differ from the final physical print. This has also to do with colour management of the screen or display used to view the design.
What kind of paper?
We strongly recommend using good quality paper. We recommend photo paper (matte), cardstock, premium (heavyweight) paper or archival paper.
A watercolour finish sheet would work particularly well with artwork created in watercolour.
Most of our design artworks are optimized for matt cardstock to produce the best visual results.
If you are printing using a print shop service, simply ask for a selection of paper to review.
Refunds
Should there be any issue related to the file quality or mistakes on our part, we will endeavour to refund your purchase.
Differently, due to the nature of digital artworks, the Etsy policy does not allow for refunds, returns, exchanges or cancellations.

Sharing and Social Media
You can print as many times as you like the artwork that you purchased from us (for personal use). This is yours to keep and print anytime, for the rest of your life.
We encourage you to share pictures of the ‘printed’ artwork and where you have decided to place it on display across social media channels. Please ensure to tag us on @doroteodesign on Instagram – we’d love to see them!
We kindly ask you to not share the digital design. It would not only render your purchase futile, but would also devalue our hard work to produce original artwork.
